Equality
Gender equality is about reducing existing disadvantages that mainly affect women.
The aim of equality initiatives is to further womens' careers and talents and especially to improve the access and promotion opportunities for women. This involves taking into account aspects such as skill, aptitude, performance, and family demands.
In this sense, efforts concerning equality and the implementation of initiatives are expressions of the striving for social justice. Social justice means that everyone, regardless of his or her gender, can take advantage of personal development opportunities and create and fulfil individual life plans.
